These occasional blogs have a very limited audience – often just me! – but occasionally someone’s web search throws up an old friend, and more obscurely, lost relations of someone mentioned in the text.
Without naming them, two people, no doubt one prompted by the other, have written to me in the last two days wanting to get in touch with a relation whom I mentioned in a blog posting from January last year. The individual concerned has no computer, no smart phone, no landline and no desire for any of them. But I tagged his name in the posting. I could oblige and who knows, maybe a family has become more reunited. Reason enough for continuing to commit to print brief extracts from my memory or opinion banks!
